Calm, confident, In control

Lecturing

I am happy to provide lectures and talks on various aspects of Well-being to groups in Education and in Industry. Some examples are described below.

Hypnotherapy Lecturer

I am very pleased to be a Senior Lecturer for CPHT Hypnotherapy Training in Sheffield.  One course per year is run on Sheffield, starting in September.  Courses are very popular and well-attended

Successful graduation from CPHT leads to a full Diploma qualification (DSFH) and the nationally accredited (NCFE) Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD). HPD has been accredited by the NCFE as having measurable learning outcomes that have been benchmarked at Level 4 using Ofqual’s Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) level descriptions.

I am also the Lecturer for four modules of the Level 5 Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma.  These modules are Ethics and Professional Conduct; Psychoneuroimmunology: the mind body connection; The Neuroscience of Obesity and Understanding the Gut-Brain Axis. I am happy to provide lectures and talks on various aspects of Well-being to groups in Education and in Industry. Some examples are described below.

Jane came to Wythenshawe Maternity Unit to give a talk to the Midwives about the brain as part of our Well-being Day. Jane’s session was informative and relaxing. We learnt about techniques to help relive stress and anxiety which will be extremely beneficial when working in a busy Maternity Unit

I provided a talk to teachers at a Primary School in South Manchester and as a result, was invited to run a four-week workshop on Coping with Anxiety for a group of the teachers. There was some great feedback from the participants of the workshop:
I think what you are doing is wonderful! You have such a calming, supportive voice and manner and made me feel very safe! Thank you!

The workshop helped by making the brain something scientific and malleable. Becoming more aware and spotting when the ‘primitive mind’ is in control.

The workshop helped realising that relaxation time and time for myself are important.
